Ride before you buy.
3 PM ’til sunset·Cooney Reservoir·About 40 minutes south of Billings.

One evening, our boats, and the water in front of you. Not a showroom walk-around — you get in, we drive, then you drive. Ride the hulls back to back and find out which one is actually yours.

What the day is

You actually ride

Every boat on the water, wave dialed in by the crew who set them up. Surf it, board it, or just sit in the back and watch.

The whole crew is there

Sales, service, and the techs who'd be fixing it in July. Ask the hard questions — that's what the day is for.

Bring the whole crew

Family, dogs, lawn chairs. A lake hang, not a sales pitch — and the boat has to work for everybody aboard, so bring everybody aboard.

No pressure, on purpose

Nobody's writing a deal on the beach. Ride, eat, ask, go home. If a boat's right you'll know, and we'll be here Monday.

How Demo Day works

  1. Show up
    3 PM ’til sunset at Cooney Reservoir. Get on the list first so we can build you into the rotation.
  2. Pick your boat
    Tell us what you want to ride and we build the rotation around it.
  3. Ride it
    Vest on, wave dialed in. First time behind a boat is fine — the crew coaches.

Bring

  • Swimsuit and a towel
  • A layer for after sunset — September water
  • Your own board if you've got one
  • Lawn chairs, the family, the dog

  • Vests for everybody
  • Boards and ropes
  • Food and drinks
  • The whole MWC crew

Ride what we ride

September water is no excuse. The boards behind our boats on the 10th are the boards in the shop — and the right wetsuit is what makes a sunset demo comfortable.

Questions people ask

Does it cost anything?
No. Come ride.
What time should I get there?
Anytime from 3 PM ’til sunset. Get on the list and we’ll work you into the rotation.
Do I have to be shopping for a boat?
No. Plenty of people come to ride and eat. Nobody gets cornered.
Can I bring my kids?
Please do. Vests in every size, and half the point is seeing how a boat works with your family in it.
What if I've never surfed behind a boat?
Plenty of people ride for the first time at these. The crew coaches, the wave does the rest.
Isn't the water cold in September?
It's Montana in September — bring a layer for after sunset. We've got wetsuits in the shop if you want one.
What if the weather turns?
If we have to move it, everyone on the list hears from us first.
